Press Brakes

For over 30 years Foremost Machinery Corporation (a member of the M.J.Allen Group) has been offering their unique press brake as an alternative to using much larger brakes for simple bending. We currently offer 6 bench top models with capacities of 12 tons and 24 tons, and bed widths from 2 feet to 8 feet in length. Two air driven cylinders force the ram down, and a counterbalance retracts the ram. This simple design keeps maintenance costs to a minimum, without sacrificing performance. The Foremost Bantam press brake is an ideal choice for cell manufacturing or point-of-use operations because of its compact size. The CNC back gauge is available to enhance the versatility of the machine. 99 programs can be stored and retrieved at the push of a button, each with up to 30 bends. Every time the brake is actuated the back gauge advances to the next position. A 90º top punch and 4-way bottom die are included with the machines and an optional floor stand and 2-hand control package with support table are also available.

RMT-Gabro Folding Machines

GABRO Folders are unique as they eliminate conventional segments for work clamping and use instead sections of standard steel angle cut as required for folding box ends. A narrow bed ensures that return bends can be made with the component suspended inside the machine. The Clamp Bar can be removed from the struts so that brackets and channel sections can be formed right around it. Also, the Clamp Bar clamps the component and bends the sides so that the Backstop holds the finished width irrespective of blank variations. A Front Workstop is available when it is preferred that measurements are taken from the front of the workpiece. A patented feature of GABRO Folders is the Selective Bending Device on the Fold Bar which enables interrupted or partial folds to be made simply and quickly. RMT Air Toggle Presses

The RMT press utilizes a unique guarding system that is used to actuate the press. The operator simply loads the part into the die and then closes the guard. The press ram comes down, performs the operation and then returns when the guard is lifted. A piston cylinder minimizes air consumption, and allows infinite stroke adjustment from 0 up to the maximum capacity of the machine. These toggle action presses are available in 10 sizes up to 24 tons and are completely air operated. No electrics or hydraulics are needed. The machine is constructed with a robust cast iron frame and precision machined components, including a guided ram with vee gibbs. With speeds up to 240 strokes per minute, this machine can be used for production as well as low volume work. A wide variety of options are offered including 2 hand controls, foot valves, counters, and automatic cycling controls. M J Allen also supplies the parts you need to maintain your RMT press. RMT-Gabro Guillotine Notching Machines

Unique Cutting Action eliminates distortion. Conventional shears have a scissor action that results in distortion of one or both of the cut pieces. Gabro has a better way. By using a blade and a die, a thin strip of material is blanked out. Both sections are left entirely undistorted and free from sharp burrs and edges. The clearance between the blade and the die is readily adjustable for the thickness of the material.
