Architectural Metalwork
Mather & Smith is one of the oldest established architectural iron founding and architectural metalwork specialists in the UK, dating back to 1837. Mather & Smith specialise in the conservation and restoration of all cast iron and wrought iron structures utilising our in house Black Smith, Iron, Aluminium and bronze casting foundries. Recent works include the restoration of railings at a Heritage Castle, restoration and gold leafing of an Astrolabe Globe and iron works at a prominent Cathedral.
Mather & Smith are a CHAS and Construction Line accredited company who undertake projects from small to large scale, acting as sub-contractors or main-contractors. We are unique in that we are experienced in many materials and applications.

- CPCS Blue carded 360 digger workers
- CPCS carded forward tipping dumper trucks/carded telescopic forks/carded hi-ab crane/loading
- SSTS Qualified Supervisors
- NRSWA operatives and NRSWA supervisor
- CSCS white cards and CSCS gold cards/site supervisors
- Blue carded water hygiene operatives and water pipe Fusion and welding trained
- Time served Blacksmith/Silversmith and Goldsmith/pattern maker.
