Pattern Making - The MJ Allen Group's origins can be traced back to 1958, when our master Pattern Shop began trading and it is this skill and expertise that established the foundation of the Group's standards.

Non Ferrous Foundry - After the formation of our Pattern Shop it was a natural progression for us to seek to provide a casting service. The objective took shape with the incorporation of our Non-Ferrous Foundry. This development provided the engine room for the MJ Allen Group's drive to offer industry a quality and integrated service and this philosophy has generated an ever-increasing demand for our iron and aluminium castings and machining of those castings.

Iron Foundry - Following the success of our Non-Ferrous foundry we entered the market of Iron castings in 1968. Again the doctrine to supply quality castings was applied and its success has enabled us to gain many customers within the EU and the United States, as well as at home.

ENC - After establishing a pattern shop and two foundries, each manufacturing to the highest level, it was logical that the Group should complete the cycle by providing a facility for precision machining our iron and aluminium castings. MJ Allen ENC Ltd is the division which has been developed to meet this demand.

New Iron Foundry Manager

The M J Allen Group are pleased to announce to our casting and machining customers a change in management roles at the Foundry Division of the MJ Allen Group.

 We are happy to advise that Shaun Ricketts, our Non Ferrous Foundry Manager has agreed to take on responsibility for our Iron Foundry in addition to his existing role, upon the semi retirement of our previous Iron Foundry Manager, Derek Goodger.

 To facilitate a smooth handover Derek will naturally be assisting Shaun. We are pleased to advise that Derek will be working with our Sales Director, Gary Ealham to further promote the Foundry and Machining services that MJ Allen has to offer.

 MJ Allen produce low and medium volume, high quality, complex core assembly sand castings in aluminium (to 1 tonne), Grey iron (to 2 tonnes), SG iron (500kg) and copper alloys (120kg). The recent expansion of our aluminium gravity die casting (to 50kg) facility has now given us a medium to high volume capability. Coupled with this our fully equipped CNC and conventional machine shop, MJ Allen-ENC, with assembly and finishing on site, enables our customers to place a single order for a finished components of almost any size and volume.
